Counsellor E defeng was born in Wuhan, Hubei Province in July 1970. He has a doctor’s degree in Management. He has been the Commercial Counsellor of the Chinese Consulate-General in Toronto since October 2016. His previous post was Deputy Director General of WTO Affairs of Ministry of Commerce of China. He held various posts in General Office as well as Department of European Affairs of Chinese Commercial Ministry from 1992 to 2003 and also served as Deputy Mayor of Maanshan City, Anhui Province, from 2012 to 2014.
