Leah Barrett

Sourcing Faculty Member & Professor, School of Fashion Studies

From export merchandiser to academic in fashion, my job titles and roles reflect the many geographies, models, materials and processes in the textile and apparel industry. I have worked in export development, product development, production management, design, entrepreneurship and education, in factories, buying offices and academic institutions.

I create courses in fashion – sustainable fashion (social and environmental), sourcing and quality control. I select content, develop teaching materials, outcomes and assessments and advise programs.

I offer training in sustainable practice in local systems. My website leahbarrett.ca houses more information on my areas of research, writing, community participation and collections for Jabberdust.
