Apparel Textile Sourcing Canada 2018 Comes to a Close

What a show! Apparel Textile Sourcing Canada brought over 500 exhibitors, 5,000 registered attendees and participation from 17 countries to the International Centre in Toronto. These record-breaking numbers are evidence of Canada’s changing role as a sought-after trade partner in the global textile and apparel sector. That being said, thank you to everyone that participated in the third year of ATS Canada and contributed to its success.

ATS Canada 2018

On top of being the premier sourcing destination of apparel and textiles, ATS Canada expanded both literally and figuratively. In fact, the showroom space expanded from 40,000 to 135,000 square feet. New product categories were present at the show such as general merchandise, electronics, toys, sports, gift, craft, decor, bath, kitchen, bed, household, pet, outdoor, furniture, jewelry, and garden. New showcases were added as well, such as the India Pavilion and the Canadian debut of the Brand China exhibition called Avenue ATS. Through this, established brands from the regions were able to gain entrance to the North American Market.

ATS Canada has always placed emphasis on giving back. On Tuesday, CEO Jason Prescott, took a moment to exchange recognition with the CCCT, CCPIT JIANGSU and JCB Cargo for donating an ocean container of clothing for Brands for Canada. The donation was an incredible act of generosity for our longtime partner and the local community.

The Premier Apparel Industry Event Comes to a Close

Apparel Textile Sourcing Canada was a whirlwind three days. The show was filled with educational seminars from industry experts such as Bob Kirke, the executive director of Canadian Apparel and other industry experts. The topic of trade dominated the workshops and reflected the current state of the industry, as well as how to move forward. Then, the show took the runway with not one, but two, fashion shows where onlookers saw first looks from top designers, premier exhibitors, and student collections.

From the commencement of the show with the ribbon cutting ceremony to the matchmaking services to everything in between, the team pulled together an incredible Apparel Textile Sourcing 2018 show.
