Nigest Haile, Founder and Executive Director, Centre for Accelerated Women’s Economic Empowerment, Ethiopia. Nigest is an activist in the promotion of women entrepreneurs, with particular focus to women exporters. She has 23 years experience working in the Ethiopian Ministry of Trade and Industry, at different capacities. In 2004, she founded CAWEE, a pioneer trade promotion organization working in the country, providing promotional and capacity building support service targeting women exporters.
Marcia Mendez, Trade Counselor of the Embassy of Guatemala in Canada
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Guatemala. International Relations Degree with an specialization in foreign trade. Master degree in Business Administration and International Marketing. With more than 15 years of experience in the field of foreign trade working in both private and public sectors for institutions as the Ministry of Economy of Guatemala, the Guatemalan Exporters Association – AGEXPORT and the Guatemalan Trade Offices Abroad, among others.
Do Thi Thu Huong joined the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam since 1996. She has worked on the trade policies and multilateral trade negotiations in a various free trade agreements including WTO, CPTPP, Vietnam – European Union FTAs. She was posted to Sweden in 2003-2006 and Canada 2017 – 2021 for commercial affairs in the Vietnam Embassy. She has just finished her term in Canada recently and is now back in Vietnam
