The apparel sector is growing fast and with it, its environmental footprint. Around 7% of the world’s total greenhouse gas emissions come from apparel production industry. Therefore, we need committed action to support value chain participants to reduce their carbon emissions and water use. We have made it our mission to enable consumers and companies to make responsible decisions to protect our planet. By integrating a Life Cycle Assessment tool (LCA) into our STeP by OEKO-TEX® certification program we actively support the achievement of the UN Sustainability Development Goals.
