Mr. Mohummad Shaifullah (Mansur) is the Director of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), the apex trade body representing the country’s ready-made garment industry. A prominent business personality in Bangladesh, Mr. Shaifullah entered business driven by a vision to generate employment and expedite the wheel of the economy for poverty alleviation and social development. After completing his B.Com and M.Com from the University of Chittagong and an LLB from Southern University, Chittagong, he chose to forgo traditional career paths and started his own business on a small scale in 2001 to realize his dream.

After years of hard work, Mr. Shaifullah built an RMG business named Mellow Fashion Ltd., with sister concerns Alert Fashions Ltd. and Mellow Fashion Ltd. Unit-1, as well as City Design & Developers Ltd. and Green & Green Rubber Garden & Plant. He is Managing Director of Mellow Fashion Ltd. and Alert Fashions Ltd., which together have created job opportunities for more than 1,000 people and contribute to the national economy with an annual export turnover of around US$15 million.

Mr. Shaifullah is also a well-known business leader who, for the last 18 years, has been involved in various activities and initiatives of BGMEA, where he was elected Director and served two terms, playing a vital role in the development of the RMG industry.

He is active in several social organizations, including the Bhatiary Golf & Country Club (Chittagong), Chittagong Club, Chittagong Seniors Club, Chittagong Press Club, and Lions International. Mr. Shaifullah is happily married to Mrs. Shamim Are Ferdous, Chairman of Mellow & Alert Fashions Ltd., and they have two sons and one daughter.
