That's a Wrap on the Debut ATS Miami Show!

Our time in the sun has come to an end as the first ever ATS Miami came to a close Wednesday. So, we’re looking back at the inaugural Miami show.

Watch Out World-Miami’s Coming For You

The extremely successful debut of ATS Miami could not have come to fruition without the unprecedented support of the Mayor of Miami Francis X. Suarez and Miami-Dade County Commissioner Jose “Pepe” Diaz. They embraced the idea of a trade show and championed for its success.

That being said, it was an honor having them at them in attendance at the opening ceremony. It was even more of a pleasure  having Mayor Suarez speak about his vision of making Miami a global city, and how ATS Miami is instrumental in that. Also, Moishe Mana, who has been pioneering Miami’s growth for years, was present, as well as other influential Miami residents.

A Global Affair

This past week we welcomed over 1,800 attendees that journeyed from over 40 different countries. The global reach of Apparel Textile Sourcing Miami spanned from North and South America, all the way to Europe, Asia, Africa and even Australia.

The highest concentration of attendees and exhibitors hailed from both North and South America. It is no surprise of the heavy Latin American presence as the show had been touted as the, “Gateway to the Americas.” The goal of connecting them through the U.S city of Miami is something we are already seeing evidence of and will continue to see in the future.

A Fashionable Future

We still are in awe of the talent displayed at the fashion show. We believe over 1,000 attendees witnessed the rebirth of Miami fashion on that stage. The established Miami designers such as Rene Ruiz and Julian Chang sent looks down the runway where the love for Miami and it’s culture were evident. In addition, the creativity displayed by our exhibitors was impressive and the designs from Miami’s fashion students was inspiring.  This was a showcase that made us excited for the future of Miami fashion.

Also, thank you to our incredible speakers who filled our schedule with seminars on everything from logistics to how to start a successful fashion brand. Your education truly enhanced everyone’s experience and gave everyone a great foundation to further their path in the apparel industry.

Thank you to everyone who made this such a successful debut of Apparel Textile Sourcing Miami! We look forward to coming back in 2019!
